Our 20 Best-Selling Palestine Designs (and How to Wear Them)

Some designs simply sell faster than others. This guide brings together the 20 pieces that lead our UK Best Sellers collection right now, from the plain FRE-and-flag logo to the watermelon, the raised fist and the keffiyeh portrait. For each one you will find what the design shows, what the motif means and a few ideas for wearing it through a British autumn.

How we chose the 20

We followed the order of our Best Sellers collection and allowed no more than two products per design, so the list covers as many motifs as possible. Children's items and anything currently unavailable were left out, and the last three places went to the next best sellers across the whole shop.

The 20 designs

1. Free Palestine T-Shirt

Our most popular piece keeps the message short: FRE in heavy black capitals, a small Palestinian flag standing in for the last letter, and Palestine spaced out in fine type underneath. The flag doing the work of a letter is the whole idea, and it reads at a glance across a platform or a busy pavement. The tee is soft and lightweight, so it layers easily: wear the white version under an open overshirt or a denim jacket with dark jeans and white trainers.

2. Free Palestine Hoodie

The same FRE-and-flag logo on a classic pullover hoodie with a front pouch pocket and a lined hood. On a hoodie the print sits a little higher and larger, so it stays visible under an open coat. For autumn, pair it with a wool overcoat or a waxed jacket, straight-leg trousers and chunky trainers; a white hoodie looks particularly sharp against navy or camel.

3. Palestine Flag Classic Tee

No words, just the flag: black, white and green bands with a red triangle at the hoist. The colours go back to the flag of the Arab Revolt of 1916, and the design was adopted by the Palestine Liberation Organization in 1964. Today it is the most recognised symbol of Palestinian identity. The classic tee is a heavier cotton with a structured fit, so it holds its shape under a bomber or a chore jacket, and grey marl keeps the colours bright without shouting.

4. Triangle Watermelon Classic Tee

An upside-down triangle of watermelon: green and white rind across the top, red flesh and a scatter of black seeds. The fruit shares the colours of the flag and has long been used in its place. An often-repeated account, hard to verify in every detail, says artists in Ramallah were told in 1980 not to use the flag's colours, even in a painting of a watermelon. On a navy tee the red really stands out, so keep the rest calm: dark jeans, a plain cap and minimal trainers.

5. Palestine Hand T-Shirt

A raised fist and forearm painted in the flag colours, breaking free from white chains. The raised fist has signalled solidarity in many movements around the world, and the broken chains add the idea of release. The artwork is tall and narrow, which suits a relaxed tee. Wear it with loose cargo trousers or wide-leg jeans and a zip-up fleece for an easy weekend look.

6. Palestine Map T-Shirt

The map of Palestine filled with sunset stripes, from deep red at the top to golden yellow at the bottom, with a small figure lifting a flag, the word PALESTINE and a short #PRAYFORGAZA line beneath. It is a design about home and belonging rather than a slogan. The warm tones sit nicely with autumn colours, so try it under a rust or olive overshirt with cream or stone trousers.

7. No Justice No Peace Classic Tee

NO JUSTICE / NO PEACE in two stacked lines, the NOs picked out in green and red, above the FRE-and-flag logo. The chant is widely linked to protests in New York in the 1980s and is now heard at marches around the world; the point is simply that lasting peace depends on justice. A light blue or white classic tee keeps it fresh. Add a light jacket and straight jeans, and it works for a march or an ordinary Tuesday.

8. Palestine Flag Car Magnet

Not everything on this list is clothing. The car magnet carries the full flag in a neat rectangle, about 19 by 11 centimetres, and holds on to any flat steel panel without adhesive, so you can move it or take it off whenever you like. It is weather-resistant vinyl, built for motorway spray and British rain. Put it on a flat, clean panel and take it off before a car wash.

9. Palestine Watermelon Women's T-Shirt

Here the watermelon takes the shape of the map of Palestine: juicy red flesh with black seeds, edged with green rind. It joins two symbols in one image, the land and the fruit that stands in for the flag. The women's tee is soft and lightweight with a slightly fitted cut. Tuck it into high-waisted jeans, add a cardigan or a denim jacket, and finish with loafers or simple trainers.

10. Hope T-Shirt

A square, poster-style portrait of a young woman wrapped in a black-and-white keffiyeh with a red scarf, looking up and ahead. The keffiyeh pattern is often read as fishing nets for the sea, olive leaves for the land and bold lines for old trade routes, although these readings are tradition rather than record. The upward gaze gives the design its name. Treat it like an art tee: plain black trousers, a dark overshirt and nothing else competing with the print.

11. Hope Women's T-Shirt

The same Hope portrait on the women's tee, in muted green, red and cream tones that feel more gallery print than placard. Because the image is detailed, keep the rest of the outfit simple: a long camel coat, straight trousers or a midi skirt, and a small gold necklace. It is one of the easiest designs on this list to wear to the office on a dress-down day.

12. Watermelon T-Shirt

The watermelon map again, this time on the men's lightweight tee. From a distance it reads as a slice of fruit; up close you notice the outline of the map and the seeds scattered across it. That double take is a large part of its appeal. Wear it with shorts on the last warm days of the season, or under a navy zip hoodie with dark chinos once it turns colder.

13. Palestine Hero Classic Tee

The Palestine Hero design looks as though the shirt has been ripped open, with the flag showing through a jagged gap in the middle of the chest, drawn in bold black lines. It borrows from the comic-book moment when the hero's costume appears under everyday clothes, only here the flag is what lies underneath. On an off-white classic tee it works with khaki trousers, a canvas jacket and leather boots.

14. Palestine Hand Hoodie

The raised fist and broken chains on a warm cotton-blend hoodie with a front pocket and lined hood. On white the flag colours stay crisp; for a darker winter version, choose black and let the red, green and white carry the look. Layer it under a puffer or a parka with joggers, and add a beanie on frosty mornings.

15. Triangle Watermelon Short Sleeve T-Shirt

The triangle watermelon once more, on a slimmer, form-fitting short sleeve tee in combed cotton. The closer fit suits a tidier outfit: tuck it into tailored trousers with a belt and a short jacket, or wear it under an open shirt. Navy and black both let the red and green stand out.

16. Speak Out Against Genocide Classic Tee

Four words in heavy black capitals, SPEAK OUT AGAINST GENOCIDE, with generous letter spacing on the first line. It is a direct call not to stay silent, printed large enough to read from a distance at a march or on a busy high street. The red classic tee is the boldest version; pair it with black jeans and a black jacket so the message stays the focus.

17. No Justice No Peace Racerback Tank

No Justice No Peace with the FRE-and-flag logo, on a fitted racerback tank. It is a practical piece for the gym, a run or a warm day at a rally. Out of season, wear it under an oversized knit or a zip hoodie with leggings or wide trousers, so the message peeks out when the layers come off.

18. Speak Out Against Genocide Women's T-Shirt

The same four-line message on the lightweight women's tee. White keeps it clean and easy to read. Wear it with a black blazer and jeans for a sharper look at a talk or a meeting, or with a denim jacket and trainers for a march.

19. Palestine Wall Men's T-Shirt

Inspired by the stencil art painted on the separation wall in the West Bank, where artists and residents turned grey concrete into murals about life beside it. It is a more graphic, street-art piece than the logo tees, so let it stand alone: a plain overshirt or a bomber jacket, dark jeans and clean trainers.

20. Japanese Exclusive Free Palestine Classic Tee

This design mixes Japanese and English: a small flag beside lines that translate as Palestine Solidarity, Free Palestine and No Justice No Peace, plus a call for withdrawal from the occupied territories. It is a neat reminder that support for Palestine speaks many languages. The busy text layout looks best on an off-white tee with a plain jacket and dark trousers.

Three easy ways to wear them

Let one piece lead: a text design such as No Justice No Peace works best with plain layers around it. Mix a symbol with a message, for example a Palestine Hand hoodie over a No Justice No Peace tank. And think in layers for British weather: a lightweight tee under a hoodie under a coat means the design is still visible when you step inside.

FAQ

How did you choose these 20 designs?

We followed the order of our Best Sellers collection, allowed a maximum of two products per design and left out children's items and anything currently unavailable. The last three places went to the next best sellers across the shop.

Which design is best as a first Palestine piece?

The Palestine Flag and Triangle Watermelon tees are the simplest, as they have no text. The Free Palestine logo is the most popular choice overall.

Why is the watermelon linked to Palestine?

A cut watermelon shows the same red, green, white and black as the flag, so it has long been used as a stand-in for it in art and on placards.

Do you only sell clothing?

No. Alongside tees and hoodies you will find accessories such as car magnets, beanies, totes and phone cases. Our Shop by Design page shows every product for each design.

How should I wash printed tees and hoodies?

Turn them inside out, wash at 30 degrees, skip the tumble dryer and never iron directly over the print. The design will stay sharp for much longer.
